Experience:
I have been volunteering at Niagara Ina Grafton Gage Village since I was 10. I work alongside the activation therapist in the long-term care section of the facility. I would facilitate various programs/events and spent a lot of time learning about what kinds of programs are interesting/beneficial for seniors.
I was employed for a time by a family to keep their mother company while they were out of the house. She was developing alzheimers and needed someone to be around in case she got confused and to keep her safe. We spent time chatting over tea, watching movies and playing cards.
